Dress like a boss and impress your coworkers.
A blazer is an essential part of any woman’s wardrobe, especially as a go-to option for the office. Even when I worked in the much more liberal office environment of fashion merchandising, I always had a variety of blazers on rotation in my closet. When I moved to a more conservative workplace, these pieces easily transitioned to my new office uniform. A blazer doesn’t have to be stuffy or boring. There are plenty of options that function well in and out of the office.
If you’re feeling it, try adding one of these to your closet:
- Black faux leather sleeve blazer: This is a fresh spin on a classic staple. Wearing it with patterned pants keeps it from being boring.
Knit blazer: Not your typical blazer. This is an easy piece that looks just as good with jeans and flats on the weekends as it does with a skirt and basic tee for work.
White or pastel blazer– A fresh alternative to the standard dark options, especially in the spring/summer!
Faux leather jacket: Try it with a dress to balance the edginess of the jacket.
